Barberry is a very social neighborhood - mostly young couples starting families. There are many children from toddlers to pre-teens. Sidewalks on both sides of the street, gas lanterns make this "village" style neighborhood very appealing. Please note that none of the children are required to attend Johns Island schools - all get waivers to other districts because of the close proximity to James Island/West Ashley/etc.
