This is a fully private and very quiet living space DESIGNED FOR USE BY A SINGLE RENTER who will be the SOLE OCCUPANT of the building. This space is fully furnished with one full bedroom (pictured) and an attached study or office that can temporarily be used as a guest bedroom. The open kitchenette is well equipped with many amenities and connected to the comfortably sized living room. The kitchen is equipped with a stainless steel sink with garbage disposer, automatic built-in dishwasher, a full sized 2-door refrigerator / freezer, electric stove top w/4 burners, full-size 2-rack oven, above-the-range microwave with venting, custom black granite counter top and ample cabinet / cupboard space. Some cookware (pot, pans, utensils etc), ceramic drinkware, counter top appliances and an assortment of both stainless steel silverware and flatware (plates and dishes) are provided. The "study" is equipped with built-in original hardwood shelves and floor level cupboards which double nicely as storage drawers. The full bathroom is off of the living room and was upgraded in 2018 with new plumbing, quality vinyl tile flooring and a refurbished shower/tub area. The bathroom is equipped with a large tub and shower area. There is ample open wood shelf storage in the bathroom sink area as well. THE NEIGHBORHOOD-- Bratenahl is quiet, very safe and beautiful. Nestled on the south shore of Lake Erie approximately 5 miles due east of downtown Cleveland, Bratenahl Village is a heavily wooded, old inner ring suburb of Cleveland with fewer than 1500 residents residing within a total land area of only 552 acres. If you like to jog, hike, bike, or just enjoy the outdoors, this is the place for you! "Village" living here can seem like isolated, wooded rural living, except you're only 10-15 minutes from the most popular Cleveland venues! Our property is a five minute walk to Lake Erie and Dike 14 (see below), bike paths and public bus routes to downtown Cleveland and points west. Even though tiny Bratenahl is completely surrounded by more conventional Cleveland neighborhoods on three sides, surprisingly, it has its own city government separate from Cleveland's with its own Mayor, an At-Large city council and superb police & service departments. It is a well run, safe and beautiful community where neighbors watch out for each other. It is also a wildlife and bird sanctuary pocked with large shoreline acreages of natural wooded areas and green space that can never be developed privately. Acquired and now owned by the local government through the combined efforts and cooperation of Bratenahl Village and the Western Reserve Land Conservancy, these donated green spaces are home to over 280 bird and multiple mammal species that live and nest here and in the adjacent "Dike 14" wildlife preserve. Dike 14 is a mushroom shaped, 88 acre peninsula of land that juts out into the lake and is only a 10-15 minute walk from our property . The preserve is located inside Gordon State Park and has just recently been opened to human foot traffic for close up observation of varied bird and other wildlife species in their natural habitats -- you can "walk the dike" for free using pre-designated foot paths constructed by the state park rangers. At the tip of the dike peninsula, a 25 minute walk along constructed grass paths, is a newly constructed miniature observation and gazebo rest area where hikers can see a terrific panoramic view of the Lake Erie shoreline (beautiful sunsets), downtown and the high rise condos of the "Gold Coast" to the west. First and last month's rent are due upon simple lease signing (you do not pay rent your last month) - Current lease may easily be extended upon mutual agreement between the tenant and landlord. One year and academic lease periords are preferred but we will consider 3- 6 month lease periods on a case by case basis. No security deposit is required but a $150 cleaning fee is due upon signing.
