A very comfortable home designed by us. Much of the wood siding is cut from large pine trees that covered the property when we bought the land in 1997. Thriving gardens on all sides. Very successful vegetable garden in the back. Shed at the back of the property has an overhang on one side to protect kayaks and canoe; overhang in the rear to protect firewood. Wood stove in living room heats the main living portion of the home nicely. Hot tub in the sunroom is wonderful after a day of gardening or skiing. Can x-country ski out the back yard and connect to trails in the county forest. Kitchen cabinets are cherry, made by John Delagrange of of Norwood. Radiant floor heat in the basement and first floor where flooring is either hardwood or tile; baseboard heat on the carpeted second floor. Master bedroom and bath on the first floor. Other three bedrooms and bath on second floor. Two of the bedrooms (for our two kids, now grown and gone) are quite large to allow for floor hockey games. One has a walk-in closet with window. Basement is a man-cave, with pool table, darts, foosball and TV. There is deeded communal waterfront property where we can swim and keep our kayaks and canoe during the summer, but not have to put up with noise of the jet skis or blasting music from camps along the river. The house will be listed with Plumley Real Estate about Oct. 1, giving us time to get it in tip-top shape.
