Our home was built in 1984 for a growing family. We are the original and only owners of this home. Over the years it has undergone a few additions and several renovations. The most recent was in 2019 when all of the bedrooms were redone with new flooring and paint.This is a two story split level home with varying floor levels. The original house has three levels on the first floor and two levels on the second floor. The original garage was converted into an in-law apartment in 2006 and is at the ground level of the house. The rear laundry/recreation room was built in 2008 and is yet on a lower level. So in reality there are 5 levels on the first floor of the house. All but one are only two steps down from the foyer/entryway level. The 3 car garage is insulated with finished walls and heated with radiant floor heat. It was added on in 2007. There are five different heating sources for this house. The primary is hot water baseboard by a New Yorker oil boiler, which has a 205,000 BTU rating. The net output is listed at 178,300 BTU's. The secondary furnace is located in the garage and is a Harman Stoker VF-3000 rice coal furnace which is rated at 95,000 BTU's. This is a great ancillary source of heat and when being used in the winter provides great heat. If this drops below temperature the oil furnace kicks in automatically. We also have two Daikon Heat Pumps, which were installed 2 years ago. They are great sources of heat in the fall and spring and provide excellent cooling in the summer time. We also have the wood fireplace in the family room and a propane heater for the laundry/recreation room. The hot water is heated primarily with a Rheem heat pump water heater which is 3 years old. The oil boiler serves as the backup. There is a fenced in back yard and 2 paved driveways. The local middle school is located about 500 +- ft. from the house. There is direct access to snowmobile and atv trails from this residence. This house is about 2/10 of a mile from Rte.157 and about 2 miles from the I95 intersection. Grocery stores and gas stations are all within 1 mile of this house and Baxter State Park is about 22 miles from here. The Penobscot River is only about 1 mile from this location. There are plenty of recreational activities near this location.
