This is a high-end apartment with fine finishes. It is very beautiful and filled with light. There are six skylights. The skylights have built-in blackout blinds. The skylights are controlled from your phone, but they can also be programmed to open when the house reaches a particular temperature or when the CO2 level reaches a chosen threshold. I am the owner, and I am not a real estate person. I live nearby and am available and responsive to all needs. The location is incredible, in the heart of Inman Square (but quiet). Close to Harvard College, Kendall Square, and MGH. The house is very quiet, as it's on a small street, but it's just steps from the center of Inman Square. Inman Square is the coolest spot in Cambridge. From the house, you could throw a baseball at the post office, a hardware store, the 1369 Coffee Shop, The Druid Irish pub, the famous Lilypad (live music venue), and lots of other great spots. From the front door, you can see the venerable S&S deli, about 100 feet away. The unit is at the top of a 3-unit building. Sound insulation between the units is great. The kitchen has tons of cabinets, a beautiful tile backsplash, a gas range, a microwave, a dishwasher, and black quartz countertops. Look at the pictures and the floor plan and you'll see that the kitchen is on the petite side, so when one person is working at the kitchen counter, if they're cooking with someone else, the other person might be sitting at the dining table chopping vegetables. On the other hand, there's a huge pantry (in the photo next to the laundry machines), and the kitchen appliances are great, including a very quiet full-size dishwasher, a full-size fridge, and a full-size gas range. There are two different choices for where to put a dining table in large open-concept shared space (see pics & floor plans). Heating is via a brand-new forced hot air system, and the unit has central air conditioning. The entire building is insulated with 10" of spray-foam, so energy efficiency and sound deadening are excellent. Tankless on-demand hot water heaters also maximize efficiency and provide limitless hot water. The floors are brand-new solid hardwood, harvested sustainably and imported from Brazil. The two bathrooms are very comfortable, with gorgeous tiling and custom vanities with white quartz tops. Each has a big, deep, modern bathtub. There are three nice bedrooms, all sized to accommodate queen-sized beds. There is an open-concept common area. There is a nice outdoor patio for cooking and dining al fresco; this is shared with the other two units in the building. Tenant pays all utilities including water. Due at lease signing is first month's rent, last month's rent, and security deposit. No smoking, no pets.
