    What's special

In ground trampolineSwinging doorTwo built-insPlaster wallsArched entrywaysBreakfast nook
This 1941 home was built with plans from the Sears and Roebuck catalog (the last year plans could be purchased). Any remodeling has been done with the era of the home in mind. The 27 windows have wavy glass so they have not been replaced for this very reason! The breakfast nook and swinging door add to the charm of this home, including a mailbox created from the old milk drop off box! Hardwood floors are located throughout! Plaster walls and arched entryways further add to the charm along with two built-ins! Even though the home may look small from the outside, every square inch is used! The cedar fence provides complete privacy down one whole side. The “Sandlot” fort has pieces donated from friends and family. Along with an in ground trampoline, the backyard is designed with kids or grandkids! A concreted basketball area makes it great for practicing hoops! A custom fire pit with rubber mulch makes outdoor movie nights a blast! The pond comes with Koi that love to be fed! The partially finished basement is an out of sight recreation spot for the whole family complete with an in the wall saltwater tank and custom organizations under the stairs.
What the owner loves about this home
We love this home so very much! We do not want to sell it, but our three adult children have established themselves in other states. Home is now wherever they are! This home and neighborhood have created many wonderful memories! Because our home is tucked back in, there is no through traffic! Children can ride their bikes, visit the nearby wetlands, or just hangout! Being five minutes from grocery stores and the local school is a bonus! Marietta comes with a liberal arts college as well as a community college! Historic downtown makes for great shopping, a local farmer’s market, access and views to the Ohio and Muskingum Rivers, and the Sternwheel Festival! If you love history, visit the Campus Martius and Ohio River Museums! But the best little known secret has to be Mound Cemetery, where more Revolutionary War officers are buried than anywhere else in the U.S! Happy 250th America!
