It offers some of the finest fishing in NW NJ. Lake Owassa has an active state monitored stocking program which assures years of excellent and diverse fishing in its pristine waters. Boating is popular, enjoyed by all in the protected waters, which becomes a colorful and wonderful array of canoes, kayaks, sailboats, pontoon boats and speed motor boats. Powered boats are limited by mph and hours of operation adding to the safety and tranquility of Lake Owassa life. You have the luxury and privacy of swimming, fishing and boating off your own dock on your 120' waterfront lined with natural boulders and plant life. The captivating scenes are ever changing throughout any one day and viewed from so many vantage points on the property. The seasons are all spectacular – the fall's changing of the leaves, winter's snow and ice on the lake, the flowering and greening of spring and summer. All to take in and enjoy. All 4 buildings have electric power (120/240 volts, 220 amps), and all but the barn have telephone access. There is a 120' waterfront with docks. A new large septic system was installed in April, 2004 with two 1,000 gallon tanks. Fresh, filtered water comes from a deep (425') drilled well. For lawns and gardens we have an underground automated sprinkler system using lake water. There is outdoor lighting throughout the property, many on motion sensors . The long driveway entrance is on a short dead end road (which the village maintains). The Home: Remode
