Looking to find the right subletter for my beautiful home this is for a furnished, fixed-lease term (3-4 months). I've lived in this neighborhood for 15yrs and this apt for 6yrs. The building is incredibly friendly, with many pups and cats and welcoming of a new furry friend in addition to a human. We have a little gym on premises, an umbrella & patio table out front, and (free) washer/dryers in the basement. Its a great midsize building with a dozen neighbors, mostly quiet but enough people around to be safe and spare sugar when needed. I'm a nonprofit worker and artist and I've made a happy home that is cozy and beautiful. I cook often, so the kitchen is stocked with many appliances and will have a fairly stocked pantry & spice collection (and coffee/tea things!) I'm also a plant person & happy to leave anything from very simple/resilient ones up to cool ones, if interested. The art on the walls are eclectic, but happy to simplify if asked. The unit has central air, a jacuzzi tub, lovely morning light & beautiful hardwood floors. The building also has a mini gym in the basement, along with free laundry & bike storage. This is a great home for a single person, though an occasional visitor can comfortably fit. Pets are welcome; the lease addendum specifies details for pets, including a refundable deposit. I have a dog (will leave it clean, but noting for allergies), so normal pet wear-and-tear is expected and fine. The apt is on the first floor (elevated by a half staircase), so close to the door for dog walks. I'm available for virtual tours most days, but if you're already in DC and want to see IRL, let me know. This is for a fully furnished, utilities-included apartment in Columbia Heights. I'm looking for someone to sublet my home for 3-4 months, fixed-term lease with a fully refundable deposit (pet deposit also refundable; I don't believe in pet rent/fees unless there's damage). My apartment is cheerful, decorated, has all the accessories/dishes/cleaning care/linens, just looking for someone reliable and safe to trust my home with while I'm away for a few months.
