Unique opportunity to own a Historic property that retains all the details of its original glory but is tastefully updated to modern standards. Built in 1879, this Victorian gem has been the home to founding members of the Village of Dolgeville during the Depression. Past owners have run a Bed & Breakfast which the home layout facilitates. New roof in 2024. The large, lovely yard has a beautiful garden and could accommodate weddings and banquets. This is presently being used as a spectacular single-family home. With a separate entrance, bathroom and kitchen already in place you could make the finished basement into an apartment for income if desired. Plenty of storage space in this home, including the walk-up, full attic and oversized 2-stall garage.
What the owner loves about this home
New roof in 2024. I love all the wood work and space in our home. I love the gardens, many different types of flowers and all the fruit trees on the property. There are apple trees, pear trees and my favorite a peach tree. There are also 3 different kinds of berry bushes in the berry garden (blueberries, raspberries and blackberries), a strawberry patch and the grape vine with 3 different kinds of grapes. I love sitting and relaxing on the beautiful front porch or the back porch after a long day. Quiet community. Good school district.
