Your Colorado cabin retreat is ready—right down to the furniture. Set on a half-acre near the South Platte River and adjacent to Pike National Forest, this fully furnished three-bedroom log cabin combines rustic character with extensive updates. Approximately an hour from Denver or Colorado Springs, it’s a welcoming place to call home or escape for the weekend.
Near Decker's and the renowned Gold Medal waters of the South Platte, you’ll enjoy access to miles of year-round public fishing waters known for large rainbow and brown trout. Spend your days fishing and exploring, then return home to relax beside the wood-burning fireplace. After dark, take in the stars and listen to the river.
Completely remodeled from the studs out in 2005, the cabin received new electrical, plumbing, insulation, walls, flooring, kitchen, and bath. Hickory flooring and cabinetry, complemented by locally sourced pine, create a warm, authentic cabin feel. A new roof, 90%-efficient furnace, and central air conditioning were added in 2021.
Inside, you’ll find three bedrooms, one bathroom, a comfortable living room, a kitchen with an eating area, and an entry area. The furnishings are included: four beds, furniture, décor, linens, bedding, a large-screen TV, and a soundbar. The kitchen comes equipped with a dining table and chairs, refrigerator, range/oven, microwave, cookware, dishes, cutlery, and more. Simply bring your personal belongings and settle in.
Outside, the property offers a firepit area, covered gazebo/carport, shed, additional storage, and private parking for six vehicles plus an RV. A newer John Deere riding mower and other tools are also included. Access is easy from a county-maintained road.
Practical features include a well and cistern, a 500-gallon propane tank, and a 1,000-gallon septic tank. High-speed Wi-Fi enables remote monitoring and control of major systems, while five Ring cameras let you check on the property when you’re away—especially convenient for a second home.
A furnished mountain getaway with thoughtful updates, outdoor space, and the river and national forest close at hand—all ready for your next chapter.

What the owner loves about this home
I love that it looks like a traditional log cabin on the exterior and is fully modern inside. It is so nice to sit under the gazebo day and night and enjoy the mountain and river view. I also love that I can get to the property in about an hour from Denver or Colorado Springs, and no traffic issues like a ski condo. My dog loves the freedom. There is a strip center one mile away at Decker's with a store, fly shop, liquor store and restaurant/bar. Surrounded by mountains with a river that runs through it and it is so quiet.
