I am renting my large, fully furnished 1 BR / 1 BA apartment in the heart of old Dupont Circle for up to 3 years while I will be living abroad. The unit is available fully furnished, appointed, and supplied with furniture, cookware, appliances, decor, and existing staples (e.g. spices, foil, wraps, etc.). Or, it can be rented "flex-furnished", meaning I can remove and store pieces of furniture, decor, and supplies that you won't need or don't want. It's an ideal situation for those living in DC temporarily, working on the Hill (staffers, interns), graduate students and visiting scholars at GWU, AU, or Georgetown. Available starting September 14th. Rent includes all utilities (gas, electricity, water) and high-speed Wi-Fi.
The apartment is situated in the heart of Old Dupont, on the 17th Street strip of restaurants, shops, and watering holes the original LGBTQ neighborhood in DC and where the annual high heel race still happens. We are in an historic 110-year-old building with 9-foot ceilings, hardwood floors, ample natural light, and other amenities.

Notes on what stays and what goes
This is largely up to you. As I say at the top, this is a fully furnished, appointed, and supplied apartment. I have lived here for 26 years, so it is full of personal touches that I am happy to "untouch". Most notable are the books, artwork, and vinyl. I will be taking select, most important to me items LPs, books, and artwork with me to Mexico. There will still be much left behind. I am happy to leave them with you for your enjoyment, or to put them into storage.
