This fabulous house with lots of storage feels like new! We replaced the kitchen cabinets to include pull-out drawers, pantry, and corner lazy Susan (both top and bottom). (And, by the way, we installed the replaced cabinets in the laundry room and garage.) We installed granite countertops and tiled the backsplash and floors. We scraped the kitchen ceiling, installing new lights and, of course, got rid of all wallpaper throughout the house. We replaced all appliances. We also renovated the master bathroom to include a tiled shower with glass door and added a granite countertop to the cabinets with new lighting above. We tiled the floor in the half bath and replaced a pedestal sink with a drop-in sink and cabinet, also changing out the lighting. We tiled the floor in the remaining bathroom and added an in-wall medicine cabinet and new lighting. We replaced old carpeting with new throughout the bedrooms and hallway but replaced the remaining carpet (in den and family room) with hardwood. We added custom-made, wall-to-wall bookshelves/desk/cabinets/drawers/file cabinet in the den. Other updates: all new vinyl windows, both upstairs and downstairs HVAC units, architecture-style roof, new people door next to the garage door, and replaced exposed wood with vinyl (but it's an all-brick house). There's a new, modern chandelier in the dining room. Regarding the outside, we rehabbed the front lawn, changing it out from fescue to Bermuda. We added a corner, front-yard garden to complement our many other gardens/trees. We turned the portion of our yard surrounding the outside HVAC units into a rock garden and surrounded it with a partial fence. The final outdoor update was in adding a patio and reworking the stairs to the deck. All told, this lovely home has been amazingly well maintained.
