PLEASE READ AT LEAST THIS PARAGRAPH IN FULL. This house is located almost directly between downtown Wallingford and the south end of Green Lake. It is divided into three areas in what can make up two residences: (1) a 3 br, 2 ba, 1 office area on the first two floors; (2) a shared middle area that includes lots of room for storage and the washer/dryer and, when combined with the two upstairs floors, constitutes this listing; and (3) a separately keyed 1 br 1 ba basement apartment (approx 400 sq ft not including the shared area). For the last seven years, the current tenant has leased the entire house out and then sublet the downstairs apartment. That worked out better for them -- they could pick out the person who they'd share storage and a washer/dryer with -- and better for me -- I didn't have to worry about them trying to veto the person I chose to live in their basement. See photos for the general gist. Some of the photos are dated -- the basement apartment is being remodeled and the hot tub will not be there after this week, for example. But you should get the general gist. My strong preference is for someone who would rent the entire house and then sublet the apartment unit. That allows the tenant to have control over who lives there, and it spares me from having to run a would-be basement apartment tenant through the main house residents.
